The more time you spend at Saint Pius X, the more you will hear that Saint Pius X is a "stewardship parish." At Saint Pius X, stewardship is the sharing of one's time, talents and treasure with the parish community and beyond.
As a ministry of the Parish, Saint Pius X Catholic School teachers, parents, and students embrace the message of stewardship as a way of life. The spirit of stewardship enriches and transforms the educational experience at Saint Pius X through a wide variety of services and programs that take place during the regular school day.
The school's Step-by-Step Stewardship Program is designed to teach children to be good stewards of the numerous gifts God has given them through prayer, service, and sacrificial giving. In an age-appropriate way, each grade explores a focus area for the academic year. Teachers and volunteer parents coordinate stewardship projects collaborating with parish ministries and local agencies and organizations such as the Saint Vincent dePaul Society, the Center for the Homeless, Hannah's House, the Center for Hospice Care, and veterans groups. Hands-on student stewardship efforts include collecting, sorting, and delivering food for the hungry; honoring and prayerfully supporting members of the military; tangibly accompanying those in difficult beginning or end of life situations; and sharing time and laughter with members of the elderly community. Acts of stewardship lead to character development and an understanding that God wants us to use our gifts to help one another.
